What to Wear

Summer
T-shirt or tank top — not too long — something you can tuck in. Shorts- comfortable, not too baggy so they don't get caught in the seat, bicycle type shorts are the best. Sneakers, socks, a cap, sunglasses, and SUN SCREEN.

Spring/Fall
Layers! It may be cool to start, but as you row and warm up you will need to take off some stuff. T-Shirt — long or short sleeved. Fleece vest or sweater. A windbreaker type jacket- something made out of goretex is the best. We sometimes row in the rain, so something water proof/repellent and breathable is best. Long pants: Running pants or spandex. Snug but flexible. Regular trousers will be very uncomfortable and can get caught on the seats. A cap and sunglasses.

Lastly . . . But the most important . . .

Bring at least 1 liter of water or your preferred sports drink

And be prepared to have the time of your life! Although challenging for first time rowers, rowing is fun!! So relax and enjoy the beautiful river and the camaraderie of the other women.
